Your Web Page
Chuck,

I enjoyed watching you win the marathon on Sunday in Port Angeles. I didn't know who you were until then. But, since then, I've surfed the web and see you've run an impressive volume of marathons. It would be fun to watch your efforts even if only from a distance.
Thanks & I'll make a point to say hello when I see you at some future race.

Still Running
Phone home! Hi Chuck. Since you inspired my daughters and I four years ago, we all are still running. Oldest one is a Senior and the youngest one will be in the ninth grade this fall. Both finishing in the top of the High Schools Cross Country Team. Both ran the State Meet last year. I even managed a 18:47 in a 5K just a few weeks ago. I still remember going to the Run for the Roses in Prentiss four years ago with you and you waiting two blocks from the finish line, yelling, "Turn it on!" Every now and then at the end of a race, I still turn it on! Take care, thanks for the inspiration.

Congrats!
Hi! I came across your website while talking with a co-worker who is into marathons. AMAZING! It is wonderful to see that your passion for running has persisted thru the years. There are not many people out in the world who can state that they are doing what they love and inspiring others! I shared a wonderful friendship with you while at Cloverleaf and I am extremely proud of your accomplishments! Run on!

NEED FOR SPEED
Chuck,
I saw you at the turnaround at the NCT marathon and you looked fluid as hell. I am trying to get my times faster to qualify for Boston. I missed it by four minutes. Any tips you can share on a four day a week marathoner would greatly help. I am a cyclist as well and need those other days in the week to keep my cycling legs going but am disciplined enough to hit the track if I have to.

Thanks Chuck.

Patriots Day Run
Chuck,
It was a privilege meeting and running with you on such a spectacular day today, and I can't resist pointing out that I did in fact finish before you. Of course, it's true that I only ran a half today, and I admit that you did lap me too many times to count, but hey, I'll take what I can get. ;-)
Best wishes,

What a year!
I wish I could have been there when you finished...but I had two loops to finish first! What a great day to finish the year off...New Year's Eve. The quest started on New Year's Day with a victory, and ended on the following New Year's Eve with another impressive victory.

Congratulations from all your friends and family, and Linda and I in particular. We enjoyed both races that we ran with you...pre race meals, post race parties, it was always a great deal of fun laughing telling stories.

Come visit us when the leg heals...or before if promise not run a marathon! How about Cowtown?

December 31 Marathon
Chuck,
If you need a race on the last weekend of the year, I would recommend Run for the Ranch in Springfield, MO. I ran it once. It is a very small marathon. You run eight times around a flat course. The race does not start until 3 pm, so you finish in the dark. There are plenty of street lights, but with your finish time, you would probably be on your last lap before it gets really dark. Good luck at Memphis. It's going to be cold!

Baltimore Trail Marathon
Chuck,
Great to see you again yesterday. It's amazing how durable you are and that you are able to run a marathon so efficiently every weekend. You are an inspiration to runners like myself who have yet to figure out how to run an optimal marathon. Your pain threshold must be extremely high. You need to start a marathon training program for runners -- I'm sure there would be a large demand for it, given your knowledge and experience.

All the best,
